Not all tea is lovely

After a Sunday morning run along the beach, I felt pretty good and ready to sit and review some papers for a journal with a good cuppa. Imagine my disappointment when I opened the little window, as excited as I was when it was a chocolate advent calendar as a child, and out comes a green tea mixed with cinnamon and peppercorns. This tea is called hot lips, although I have given it another name that I won't divulge here as it wouldn't be appropriate (note: rhymes with fit).

So, as pretty and colourful as it looks, something's are just not meant to be mixed, and green tea with cinnamon is one of them.

With a fresh cup of proper tea (a nice earl grey) I now will be able to work properly! Reviewing a paper is something of a challenge, it is interesting as you get to be the first one to read new research in your area of interest, but also as I am newer to this, a challenge to provide constructive feedback and review the research that has been done. On the other hand, I am a self appointed critic of most things at times, so this is right up my street!

Yesterday, Jason made me a wooden frame and we hung my painting up on the wall! I had this done for me from a man on the beach in Mafia Island Marine Park while I was there doing research in March. Everyday when I walked by, on my way to see the daily fish catches I could see his progress. 4 days later, it was all finished and after travelling with it from Tanzania to the UK, Canada and now here in The Bahamas it has survived very well and can now hypnotise people in a fishy way!
